  • TITLE: Epidural Stimulation for Restoring Mobility Post Spinal Cord Injury: A Primer for Health Care Providers Treating Persons with SCI
  • PRESENTER: Dr. Paul Adamiak PGY2 Resident,  UBC Physical Medicine & Rehab
  • ​Objectives: By the end of the session attendees will be able to:
    1. Describe the basics of how epidural stimulation works
    2. Identify the components of an epidural stimulation device
    3. List the current indications for placement of epidural stimulation devices
    4. Critically discuss the current results for mobility in SCI post device implantation
    5. Be familiar with limitations, contraindications, and future directions of research in this area
  • This session qualifies for 1 credit towards the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons MOC Program
