OBJECTIVES:
- To review the evolving understanding of eligibility criteria for Medical Assistance in Dying since Bill C-14 was introduced
- To discuss the impact of MAID on acute and subacute care for hospitalized medically ill seniors
- To understand the concepts of depression vs. demoralization and their impact on capacity to consent for MAID
